Commander of the Navy bestows the recuperation centre on the Maha Sangha

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne bestowed the newly constructed recuperation centre at the Makuluwa Sri Buddhasinharamaya on the Maha Sangha on 14th February 2016 at the invitation of the Deputy Adhikarana Sanga Nayake of Dakshina Lanka and Chief Incumbent of the temple, the Most Venerable Dr. Keradewala Punnarathana Thera.

Commander of the Navy meets senior naval officers attending IFR

The Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, is in India attending the International Fleet Review (IFR) organized by the Indian Navy, met a number of participating senior naval officers and held cordial discussions of mutual importance, strengthening the naval ties with the respective navies.

SLNS Sayura takes part in Indian Navy’s IFR

Sri Lanka Navy’s Flag Ship, SLNS Sayura, which is in India along with a 275 strong Sri Lankan delegation led by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, took part in the International Fleet Review (IFR) organized by the Indian Navy (IN) at Visakhapatnam off the coast of Andhra Pradesh.
