The Navy Inter-Command Volleyball Championship - 2023 which held from 17th to 21st September 2023 concluded in a spectacular fashion at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Stadium, SLNS Gemunu. The North Central Naval Command emerged as the champions in the men's category and in the women's category, the Western Naval Command displayed their dominance.

The 12th Defence Services Cricket Championship was held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Cricket Ground in Katunayake on 05th September 2023. In the final showdown, the Sri Lanka Navy secured the runner-up title in men’s cricket championship.

The Inter Command Cycling Championship - 2023 concluded with immense success at SLNS Thambapanni on 30th August. The thrilling event saw intense competition among cyclists from various commands, where the men’s championship was secured by the Eastern Naval Command and the women’s championship was won by the Training Command. The Deputy Area Commander of Northwestern Naval Area, Commodore Thushara Udugama graced the closing ceremony of Inter Command Cycling Championship as the Chief Guest.

The Sri Lanka Navy men’s team secured the runner-up position in the 12th Defence Services Carrom Championship, held at SLNS Gemunu on 29th and 30th August 2023.

The Sri Lanka Defence Services ruggerites secured the 3rd place in the inaugural Military Men’s Rugby 7 Challenge held in Moscow, Russia from 22nd to 28th August 2023.

The Sri Lanka Navy won the overall championship in the Intermediate Boxing Tournament – 2023 organized by the Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL). The Navy secured the coveted title by winning 06 gold medals, 08 silver medals and 05 bronze medals in the tournament.

The Sri Lanka Navy sailing teams secured many wins at ‘CMYC Team Racing GP 14’ and ‘QEQ Sailing Challenge Trophy Open Race – 2023’ held in the alluring waters of Bolgoda Lake on 26th and 27th August 2023.

The 02nd National Handball Championship was held from 11th to 14th August 2023 at the Puttalam Urban Council Ground. In the final encounter against the Sri Lanka Army, the men’s handball team of the Sri Lanka Navy secured the second place.

In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Navy men’s baseball team emerged victorious as champions in the 12th Defence Services Baseball Tournament. The thrilling matches were held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama from 25th to 28th July 2023.

Woman Petty Officer Gayanthika Abeyrathne and Woman Ordinary Seaman Sayuri Mendis of the Sri Lanka Navy today (16th July 2023) made their country proud by winning a bronze medal in women’s 800m and a silver medal in women’s 400x4 relay respectively at the 25th Asian Athletics Championships in Thailand. The Asian Athletics Championships is being held at the National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
