Two Japanese naval ships, "JS Makinami (DD-112)" and "JS Suzunami (DD-114)", which are en route for counter piracy operations off Somalia and the Gulf of Aden, arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on 10th November 2015.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Theraputta in Silawathura deployed on routine patrol arrested 4 local fishermen along with a Fiber Glass Dinghy, 175 kilograms of sea cucumber and 4 diving face masks whilst engaged in fishing without permit in the seas between Kallaru and Kondachchikuda on 05th November 2015.

The annual Katina Pinkama of the Nagadeepa Purana Raja Maha Viharaya was conducted successfully under the patronage of the Northern Naval Command of the Sri Lanka Navy on 3rd and 4th of November 2015.
