The 12th Defence Services Golf Tournament – 2023, hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, was held on 01st and 02nd April 2023 at the Eagles' Golf Links China Bay, Trincomalee. The Navy comprising of some of the finest golfers put up a valiant effort and won the runner-up title.

The Navy rowing teams made a big splash at the National Rowing Championship in 2023, with both the men's and women's teams putting in impressive performances. Thus, the title of Intermediate category and runner-up slot in the Senior category were won by male and female rowing athletes of the Navy. The 38th National Rowing Championship – 2023 hosted by the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka (ARASL) was held at Diyawanna Rowing Centre, Battaramulla from 29th March to 01st April 2023.

The Inter - command Football Championship – 2023 was held at the soccer ground of Welisara Naval Complex from 17th to 23rd March 2023. The overall championship of the tournament was won by the Western Naval Command.

The Inter-command Badminton Championship - 2023 was held at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Sports Complex in Welisara from 06th to 10th March 2023. The prize awarding ceremony held on 10th March was graced by the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Suresh De Silva.

The final of Clifford Cup knockout rugby tournament was held at the Racecourse Ground, Colombo on 05th March 2023. After a tight encounter against CR & FC, the Navy Sports Club (men’s) secured the runner-up title 24-18.

The National Sailing Championship – 2023 was held at the picturesque Crow Island, Mattakkuliya on 05th and 06th March 2023. Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Sri Lanka Navy Sailing Pool put up an impressive show at the championship, recording multiple wins in various categories.

The final of the Lady Clifford Cup knockout rugby tournament was held between the Navy and Army at the Racecourse Ground, Colombo on 05th March 2023. In the final encounter, the Navy women ruggerites took home the trophy, edging out the Army 14-05.

The 12th Defence Services Netball Championship, hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, was held at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Sports Complex in Welisara from 01st to 03rd March 2023. In this tournament, the netball team of the Sri Lanka Navy clinched the championship, edging out their Army and Air Force counterparts.

Able Seaman SMASM Subasinghe, a Para athlete of the Sri Lanka Navy, won a gold medal in A47 category men's 400m at Dubai Grand Prix 2023 -14th Fazza International Para Athletics Championship held from 26th to 01st March 2023.

In a thrilling encounter between two top-tier rugby teams, Navy Sports Club (SC) emerged as the victors in the second semi-final of the Clifford Cup knockout tournament on 02nd March 2023. The game, which was played at the Racecourse Ground, Colombo, saw both teams put up a valiant effort, but it was Navy who ultimately claimed the win 16-13. With the win, the Navy was through to the final of the tournament.
